Ball Valve Design and Manufacturing
Due to the application of computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), and flexible manufacturing systems (FMS) in the valve industry, the design and manufacturing of ball valves have reached a new level. Not only has it comprehensively innovated the design and calculation methods of valves, reducing the heavy and repetitive routine design work of professional technicians, allowing technicians to have more energy to improve and enhance product performance and new product development, shortening the research and development cycle of new products, and comprehensively improving labor productivity, but also in the development process of lifting rod metal sealed ball valves, due to the application of CAD/CAM, the valve stem spiral flat has been designed by computer-aided design and manufactured by computer-aided CNC machine tools, making the metal sealed ball valve free of any scratches and wear during the opening and closing process, thereby greatly improving the sealing performance and service life of the ball valve.

When the ball valve is fully opened, the flow resistance is very small, almost zero. Therefore, equal diameter ball valves are widely used in oil and gas pipelines because they are easy to clean. Due to the wiping property of the ball body during the opening and closing process, most ball valves can be used in media with suspended solid particles. Depending on the material of the sealing ring, they can also be used in powder and granular media.
