Working performance and installation of knife gate valve
The knife gate valve boasts several advantages, including a simple and compact structure, reasonable design, lightweight and material-saving, reliable sealing, easy and flexible operation, small size, smooth passage, low flow resistance, light weight, easy installation, and easy disassembly. It can operate normally under working pressures ranging from 1.0 MPa to 2.5 MPa and operating temperatures from -29°C to 550°C. The gate plate of the knife gate valve possesses a shearing function, capable of scraping off adherents on the sealing surface and automatically removing debris. The stainless steel gate plate prevents seal leakage caused by corrosion.
Installation and use of knife gate valve:
1. Before installation, it is necessary to inspect the valve cavity, sealing surface, and other parts to ensure that there is no dirt or sand attached;
2. The bolts at each connecting part should be tightened evenly;
3. Check the packing area to ensure it is tightly compressed, which not only guarantees the sealing performance of the packing, but also ensures the flexibility of the gate plate opening;
4. Before installing the valve, the user must verify the valve model, connection size, and pay attention to the flow direction of the medium to ensure consistency with the valve requirements;
5. When installing the valve, users must reserve the necessary space for valve actuation;
6. The wiring of the drive device must be carried out according to the circuit diagram;
7. Knife gate valves must be maintained regularly and must not be collided or squeezed arbitrarily to avoid affecting the sealing.
