How to use the check valve in the bathroom

Toilet check valves are primarily used to prevent the backflow of sewage, as well as the recirculation of odors or gases. They ensure that exhaust gases can be discharged while preventing outside air from entering. Their core function is to automatically open to allow exhaust, and to close in the opposite direction to prevent backflow. Proper installation and regular maintenance are necessary to maintain their effectiveness. Check valves achieve one-way exhaust through their valve structure: during exhaust, the airflow pushes open the valve cover to allow gas to escape; in the opposite direction, the valve cover closes to prevent backflow. Common installation locations include:

- Exhaust ducts: Connected to the vent outlets of bathroom ceiling heaters or exhaust fans, to prevent the backflow of gases from the common exhaust system.

- Sewer pipes: Installed at the drain outlets of toilets or floor drains to prevent the backflow of sewage.
