Principle of lift-type valves
The lift-type valve is an automatic valve that relies on the flow of the medium to automatically open and close the valve disc, thereby preventing the medium from flowing back. It is widely used in pipeline systems in various fields such as petroleum, chemical engineering, electric power, water conservancy, heating, and water supply and drainage. The lift-type valve achieves automatic opening and closing of the valve disc through changes in the medium pressure. During forward flow, the medium pressure pushes the conical valve disc away from the valve seat, allowing the valve to open and the medium to pass through smoothly. During reverse flow, the valve disc, under the combined effect of its own weight (with the assistance of spring force in some models) and the backflow pressure of the medium, returns to the valve seat and seals tightly, thus closing the valve and preventing the medium from flowing back.

The movement of the valve disc in a lift-type valve occurs along the central axis of the valve body (or a vertical central line), ensuring stable and reliable opening and closing actions. Guide shafts and guide sleeves are installed at the upper part of the valve disc and the lower part of the valve cover, respectively. The guide shaft of the valve disc can move up and down freely within the guide sleeve of the valve cover, preventing the valve disc from shifting and enhancing the sealing performance. The sealing mechanism uses a metal-to-metal seal, which allows for a small amount of leakage and is suitable for applications where strict sealing requirements are not necessary.
