Basic parameters of valves
Valve Gland Structure of the gland: It consists of a gland packing gland, packing material, and a metal packing washer. The gland structures are classified into three types: the compression nut type, the gland packing gland type, and the bellows type. Number of Packing Rings For soft packing materials: - When PN ≤ 2.5 MPa, 4–10 rings are used; - When PN = 4.0–10 MPa, 8–10 rings are used.
For molded plastic packing materials: - One ring of packing is placed at the upper part; 3–4 rings of packing are placed in the middle; a metal packing washer is used at the lower part. To facilitate identification and selection, each type of valve is assigned a specific model. This model indicates the valve’s category, drive method, connection type, structural design, sealing surfaces and lining materials, nominal pressure, as well as the material used for the valve body. The valve model consists of seven components, which are arranged in the following order.
